Introducing Rowe EDU. Rowe EDU is a place to learn about ADCPs and DVLs. There will be short tutorials describing a specific subject. The tutorials will include a short video and written documentation to help you understand the topics. The goal of these tutorials is to teach you how to use your ADCPs and DVLs. I have done this training around the world and get requests all the time for training.

ADCP3 Announcement

ADCP3 Announcement Rowe Technologies, Inc is in the final stages of a complete low frequency ADCP and Doppler Velocity Log (DVL) re-engineering to include the electronics and transducers. The new ADCPs and DVLs will go on sale in late summer 2018. The first finished products will be industry leading in many parameters To Include: Acoustic frequencies starting from 38, 75, 150, 300 and 600 kHz Dual frequency capability from the same transducer Narrowband and multiple Broadband modes and bandwidths High- Resolution Current Profiles in the upper and coastal ocean Long- Range Current Profiles in deep ocean ± .

Rowe Technologies Inc. SeaPilot DVL delivered to Saab Seaeye

Saab Seaeye have announced the sale of one of their Leopard ROV systems to a University client. Integrated onto this highly capable Leopard ROV, is a Rowe Technologies SeaPilot Dopper Velocity Log (DVL) supplied by RS Aqua. The Leopard platform will provide a key resource for the recently opened deep-sea research centre at the university. No equivalent vehicle exists within the region; meaning this purchase will provide the University with some unique operational capabilities.

Fran Rowe Receives Lockheed Martin Award for Ocean Science and Engineering

Fran Rowe, technical advisor of Rowe Technologies, recently received the Lockheed Martin Award for Ocean Science and Engineering at the Oceans 2014 MTS/IEEE conference in St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada, reports Hydro International. The Lockheed Martin-sponsored award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated the highest degree of technical accomplishment in the field of marine science, engineering or technology. In 1982, Fran Rowe partnered with Kent Deines and founded RD Instruments.

Rowe Technologies Inc. Current Profilers to be Used in WPOS

The project is composed of six arrays that include 29 moorings whose goal is to better understand climate change and coastal environments. Rowe Technologies and its regional selling partner, Shanghai Pan Communications Scientific Instrument Company, Ltd, worked with scientists on the project to find the correct solution. In the end, it was decided that twelve 300 kHz ADCPs with integrated pressure sensors was the perfect fit. Complete story here
